Will Kahn was born and raised by the ocean in a Northern California artistic commuinty called Bolinas, which is maybe part of the reason he is such a unique person. He combines natural talent with an intense dedication to studying and pursuing music which shows in the sounds he makes. Will’s love of modern musical styles merge naturally and magically with traditional and folkloric music. Will has studied with notable Bay Area drum teachers Chuck Brown and Ken Dalluge.

Will is a producer, engineer, musician and arranger, working in Paradise Recording in Santa Cruz. He has engineered tracks for the last two SambaDá albums, and also produces and remixes groups in the US and Brasil. In 2005 he made a life changing call to Lennox Smith who co-owned the studio where SambaDá recorded their first studio album "Novas Raices/ New Roots". Len made a deal with Will to sell and lend a full studio setup for next to NOTHING. Len just asked in return that the gear would be used. Will has spent countless hours since 2005 in the studio under the guidance or producer Greg Landau and engineer Rich Williams who have both helped him develop his skills. Will has a profound love for mixing global-folkloric music with hard hitting Hip Hop rhythms.

On August 22, 2009 Will married the love of his life Aine (pronounced Anya). The two met at a show when Will was playing drums and Aine was dancing in 1998. Aine started dancing with SambaDá in 1997 and is an important part of the SambaDá community. SambaDá paraded in the streets with drums to bring their wedding guests from the ceremony to the reception. Will knows that it is with the support of his amazing wife that he is able to accomplish his dreams musically....
