SambaDá ROCKS Hawaii and NYC!!!

SambaDá returns home with two successful first time tours, to NYC and to Hawaii. Hawaii was most magical. We played on Maui (Paia and Makawao) and Oahu (Waimea and Honolulu). We were thrilled to have good turnouts at each show, what a blessing! The success of the tour ensured that we will be back, which is most exciting for us! We all got to enjoy the islands on some much needed days off in the tropics. The only problem of the trip was getting back on the plane, not easy to do! In quite another corner of the planet, New York started with a warm up play in Brooklyn, and then to the legendary S.O.B.s club. For Dandha, it was the second time she had played S.O.B.s, the first was with Ile Aiye. Marcio joined us on percussion, and with extra help from Raizes Do Brazil Capoiera, the show totally went off!!! We will be coming back to NYC, now another home away from home. Special thanks to John Stallings from Aloha Groove Presents and all who made our shows possible in Hawaii, and to Larry and Alex from SOB's for hosting SambaDá and for percussionist Dende for providing us with amazing Brazilian drums in NYC! To all our new fans in both places, SEE YOU SOON (and ALOHA)!!!
